Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Barrett expanded his knowledge and curiosity by traveling the world. He has lived on a Greek Island, in California, Alaska, London, and Florida and cultivated many diverse relationships along the way. Having settled down in Knoxville, TN with his wife and daughter, he now takes a more heuristic approach to learning. Sometimes found reading late into the morning, his favorite topics include astrophysics, aviation, and emerging technologies. He has designed and built brands, airplane parts, metal detectors, shovels, and more; he will gladly take apart anything you give him. You might even catch him on a national television show or two.
