The proposed thermal scope is radical not just in its industrial design, but also in its internals. While thermal imaging sensors are affordable when they’re small, larger sensors that can provide a clear, detailed picture can be prohibitively ex- pensive. To overcome this obstacle, we developed a unique solution that utilizes a matrix of smaller sensors, which are then processed using machine-trained neural networks to create a complete, high-quality thermal image. This innovative approach not only delivers exceptional performance, but also makes the product affordable for a wider audience.
